My name is Jasmine Stanton. I am a self-taught visual artist from Silver Spring, MD. For many years I have sought expression and freedom through dance and more recently leaned into painting as a form of process and reflection. I am drawn to painting as a method of archiving experience and storytelling. My art to me is a reflection of the vibrancies and textures of everyday life, dreams, and fantasies. I am drawn to bright colors that give an ethereal, royal, and earthy feel.
